In this respect, MCB welcomed Dr. François Gemenne, a renowned specialist in the geopolitics of the environment and migration-related matters, who led brainstorming, awareness, and training sessions with clients, NGOs, teachers, students, and MCB staff. 

 

François Gemenne, who is also a prominent member of the “Groupe d’experts intergouvernemental sur l’évolution du climat” (GIEC), was accompanied by specialists from Utopies, led by its founder, Elisabeth Laville. While being fully aware that climate change must be everyone's concern, MCB wishes to be at the forefront of the ecological transition for Mauritius.

 

In the wake of the Klima week, MCB decided to double the 'Sustainable Loan' amount. This credit line which aims to support customers in their transition process, has been topped up from Rs 5 to Rs 10 billion.
