Rony Busviah, a former student of Royal College Port Louis, is the beneficiary of the 2017 Scholarship by MCB Foundation. The official ceremony took place at MCB Centre, Port Louis, on Wednesday 26th July 2017.

The job of a forensic accountant is what Rony Busviah wishes to embrace after completing his Bachelor of Business Administration in Canada, which is financed fully by the MCB Foundation.

Rony thus becomes the 29th beneficiary of the MCB Foundation Scholarship. This foundation was created on the 150th anniversary of the MCB, in 1988. Since then, MCB Foundation grants a scholarship annually to one student who is awarded just after examinations in the field of economics at the HSC level. This scholarship allows the student to enrol for a degree at the university of his choice, with financial aid by MCB Foundation that covers university expenses, air ticket fares and accommodation cost.

Finally, MCB brings not only financial support but also consulting assistance based on career advice over the duration of the scholarship beneficiary’s studies. Besides, Rony will also enjoy an internship under the aegis of MCB, which will forge links for a future collaboration with the latter.
