MCB and French consultancy cabinet Utopies won the Silver Prize of the "Grand Prix de la Good Economie", Corporate Category, earlier this week in Paris.

This prize, which was bestowed by The Good, a platform that supports the ecological, social and sustainable transformation of brands and businesses, rewarded MCB's Klima Neutral strategy, launched in 2019.  The bank's climate strategy proposes potential avenues for mobilising economic actors in Mauritius for the country's transition to becoming a low carbon economy.

This first edition of the "Grand Prix de la Good Economie" considers several criteria, from purchasing to production, logistics, HR, finance, communication, marketing, sales and IT. The other winners included Carrefour, Accor, MAIF, Orange France and Groupe TFI, among others.

Alain Law Min, Chief Executive Officer - MCB Ltd:"We are proud to receive this international award as it recognises our unwavering commitment to our sustainable development programme, Success Beyond Numbers, which was launched in 2018. Beyond our primary role as a financial actor, our ambition is to drive the ecological, social, and inclusive transformation of our activities and of the country as a whole. I am delighted that this award acknowledges our efforts to this end and I am confident that it will encourage us to continue on this path. "
