Heshant Bissessur, 19, has officially received the 2018 MCB Foundation scholarship. He will pursue studies at the University of Warwick to obtain a Bachelor of Science in "Mathematics Operational Research, Statistics and Economics" (MORSE). His studies will be fully funded by the MCB Foundation.

The MCB Foundation scholarship allows students to obtain a "First Degree" at the university of their choice, in one of the following fields: economics, accounting, computer science or finance. The scholarship covers university fees and plane tickets, as well as accommodation, school equipment and transport costs.

Heshant has become the 30th recipient of the MCB Foundation Scholarship. This foundation was created in 1988, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of MCB. Since then, it has been annually awarded to the student ranked immediately after the Economics side laureates at the Higher School Certificate examinations.
