Thierry Hebraud is MCB Ltd's new Chief Executive Officer. Since 1 January, he has replaced Alain Law Min, who retired on 31 December 2023. Thierry Hebraud was appointed CEO Designate on 24 May 2023 and joined MCB Ltd's board as director on 13 June.

His journey with MCB began in October 2019, when he took the mantle of Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), spearheading the Global and International Corporates, Specialized Finance, Mauritian and Regional Corporates, Financial Institutions and Syndication, Global Transaction Banking, Credit Analysis and Structuring, Middle Office, and Business Development incorporating all major local and international clients, as well as dedicated products, services and support units.

Thierry Hebraud, aged 60, brings to MCB the rich and vast expertise he forged during his career, which spanned 38 years in Corporate and Investment banking. High-level positions within the Crédit Agricole group marked his professional career. He was Deputy President and Board Member in Moscow, CEO – Senior Country Officer in India, Thailand, Czech Republic, and Slovakia, and Head of Corporate Banking in Egypt. He also held prominent positions at Crédit Lyonnais in Russia, Poland, and France.

Commenting on his new role, Thierry Hebraud says: "I take up my new role as CEO with great humility, and fully aware of the legacy left by the leaders who guided our bank for more than 185 years. I look to the future with deep appreciation for this past testimony. A firm will, and a deep conviction drive me: we have the potential to maintain and improve our bank's already remarkable performance".
