MCB won the 'Awards for Excellence: Best Bank in Mauritius' for the year 2022, by the prestigious Euromoney magazine. This is the 9th year in a row that MCB has won this accolade.
The Euromoney Awards for Excellence are the accolades valued by important banks and bankers. They have been around since 1992 and were the first of their kind in the banking industry. Euromoney underlines that the MCB remains the country's best bank due to its efficiency and size. The publication recalls that 70% of the population in Mauritius holds an account at the MCB. Euromoney also took note of the international expansion strategy of the bank, which “continues to grow earnings from outside Mauritius”.
