MCB is the “Best Regional Bank in Southern Africa”

African Banker chose MCB as the “Best Regional Bank in Southern Africa” at its 2016 Awards Night held in Lusaka on Wednesday 25 May 2016.
Awarding the accolade to MCB, African Banker noted that MCB stood out on many levels: “It has proved to be a very solid and innovative institution. Solid in terms of growth, in terms of performance but also an institution that sets the pace in terms of governance. It has embraced technology to enhance its product offering as well as taking advantage of its financial and institutional strength to contribute significantly on a continent wide basis across various areas of banking including project and trade finance.”
A total of 15 institutions from Mauritius, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and South Africa were considered for the category. MCB was also shortlisted in two other categories, namely “African Bank of the Year 2016” and “Award for Innovation in Banking 2016”
