Jérôme Le Gall, the banker with golf running in his veins
For Jérôme Le Gall, Private Banker at MCB, golf is of capital interest. A platform to meet and engage with his prospects and partners and on other occasions, a family activity he invests in. One that earns healthy returns in the shape of personal satisfaction.
As our group’s ambassador for the MCB Tour Championship at the Constance golf course, Jérôme Le Gall was to rub shoulders with golf legends. But the bad weather putt off the plans. As Jérôme took his final swings at the MCB Invitational, the Pro-Am was unfortunately called off.
Jérôme’s enthusiasm, however, did not take a dip! His passion for the sport never wavers. The reason: the love of golf runs in the family. In the early ’90s, it was his uncle, Adolphe Vallet, who took a daring punt and decided to integrate the sport into the Constance group's portfolio. At 13, Jérôme's curiosity for golf was piqued. "I was very competitive. I only played to win and I was a sore loser!", he admits with a dose of self-mockery.
The young man worked hard to perfect his swing. The investment paid off. Over the years, Jérôme has had several wins in Mauritius. “These opened the doors to tournaments abroad.” From his time on the course, Jérôme especially remembers his encounters with golf professionals Philip Golding, Phillip Price, Colin Montgomerie and Miles Tunnicliff. "They are not stingy with advice, and their counsel is always friendly and generous.”
What an adventurous trajectory!
